Jacksonville Jaguars 2014 Training Camp: Day 5 Twitter Recap
By Daniel Lago

Training camp is in full swing, and as we inch closer to the regular season, we get to see more glimpses of how the team will look come September. Wednesday marks the first practice in full pads, so we’ll finally get the chance to evaluate some of the lineman. Here are some of the snippets from practice on Twitter:

We got some updates on players with injuries, including Clay Harbor, who was carted off in Monday’s practice.

Harbor’s absence should open up plenty of opportunities for undrafted free agent Marcel Jensen to show his worth and try to cement his spot on the roster.
Mike Brewster has a lot of questions to answer if he wants to start at center, and the initial reports aren’t exactly encouraging.
. @CoachJeddFisch told me & @1010xlfattony that Brewster, McClendon and Linder are in a 3 way battle for two starting spots #JaguarsToday

If McClendon already getting reps at center that’s not good for Brewster

Drops were also a theme of the day, as almost everyone seemed to have trouble with their hands.
TE Lewis can't haul in well-thrown ball over middle from Bortles Young disrupts things just enough to force drop. #Jaguars

Beautiful rainbow from Bortles down left sideline to Kerry Taylor, who drops it. #Jaguars

WR Hurns can't hang on to well-thrown bomb from Morris down left sideline. A lot of that going around today at #Jaguars practice.

Too many passes going off intended targets' hands so far in 11-on-11. #Jaguars

There were some good things to say about the 2 rookie second round picks however…
WR Robinson beats Gratz for goal line TD, then Gratz comes back and blankets him on next play to force incompletion. #jaguars

A couple of takeaways from Jaguars 11 on 11 Wed ... WR Marqise Lee continues to look comfortable, getting ball in a lot of different ways...

Finally, it looks like 2013 first round pick Luke Joeckel is starting to round into form. If he can develop into the guy they envisioned when they selected him second overall out of Texas A&M, then he would be the foundation of a very young offensive line.
