Jacksonville Jaguars 2014 Training Camp: Day 4 Twitter Recap

The Jacksonville Jaguars mixed things up a little bit by holding their 4th training camp practice at Bartram Trail High School instead their usual facilities. Jaguar fans didn’t care, and they showed up in full force.
Attendance: 3,329. Great Crowd. #ActionSportsJax #JagsCamp pic.twitter.com/VkgTCM2uLZ

The practice started on a bit of a sour note, with a player getting injured.
Clay Harbor just helped off field. Tight end getting looked at. On the cart now. #ActionSportsJax #JagsCamp

Thankfully, we eventually learned it was not a serious injury, and Clay Harbor should not be out a significant amount of time.
Harbor is a calf strain. Miss a bit but nothing major

His absence did allow a young guy to get some snaps with the first and second team however.
Marcel Jensen taking Harbor’s snaps. Seems he’s slotted as the No. 3 TE thus far

We are also getting more and more confirmation that Brandon Linder will start at right guard in week 1.
The day belonged to the defense, as they seemingly dominated the offense at every turn. Here are just a few snippets:
#Jaguars CB @J_Cyprien making a great play on the ball, gets a big congratulations from Gus Bradley.

Jeff Lageman says Abry Jones showed him more flashes so far then Ziggy Hood. #Jaguars

LB Telvin Smith reads Bortles perfectly, but ball sails a bit off his hand. #Jaguars

Big hit by LB Reynolds, taking advantage of missed block. On RB Todman. Gets love from HC Bradley. #Jaguars

Alualu smoked Nowak that time

Watching these 1 on 1 drills proves me once again, that the Jaguars D-line is way ahead of the O-line.

#Jaguars DE Ryan Davis absolutely blows by C Mike Brewster in one-on-one pass rushing drills. pic.twitter.com/88TdBY260R

Chad Henne opens both 11-on-11 periods with batted passes. Maybe this D-line will be OK? #Jaguars
— Mark Long (@APMarkLong) July 28, 2014
Henne just got Robinson murdered by Cyprien. Live game Robinson might be dead.
— Alfie (@AlfieBCC) July 29, 2014
The offense had a few moments, but overall they were overshadowed by the defense on Monday night. This shouldn’t be a surprise, as the offensive line has significantly more questions than the defensive line, and they are trying to incorporate two rookie wide receivers and a rookie quarterback.
Blake is alllllll upper body throws.

#Jaguars QB Blake Bortles with a roll out to his weak side and then great throw to WR Tandon Doss. pic.twitter.com/1P5KTTOqj3

Jaguars RBs Jordan Todman and Denard Robinson each had long runs around the right side in 9-on-7 work... Team work coming up...

Dropped ball by Denard Robinson on pretty routine catch. #Jaguars

Jags QBs were 3 for 9 with an interception in 11 on 11. DT Roy Miller with the pick.
