With the 39th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars have selected Marqise Lee, Wide Receiver from USC.
Lee joins Blake Bortles as 2014 draft picks of the Jags. After selecting the signal-caller from UCF in the 1st round last night, the Jaguars brass used their 2nd round pick on a weapon for him to throw to. Lee was projected as a 1st round pick throughout the draft process, so this could be really great value depending on who you ask.
Lee should instantly upgrade the Jaguars offense and receiving corps. Lee is known for injuries as well as struggling with drops, but he does have exceptional speed, which is something the Jags have been severely lacking. A lot of people wondered if the Jaguars would target a center at this pick, but after Lee slipped to them, they decided to snag the wideout.
The Jaguars are currently scheduled to pick next in the 3rd round, at number 70 overall.
