The 2014 NFL regular season schedule was released this week, and the Jaguars have a tough start to the season despite owning the 4th easiest lineup according to strength of schedule.

The regular season is full of surprise teams and unexpected upsets, but it’s still fun to try and predict what will happen. Obviously the draft is going to change a lot, but here’s how I think the Jaguars will do without taking into account the improvements they will make on May 8, 9, and 10.

Head coach Chip Kelly took the Philadelphia Eagles’ 15th ranked offense in 2012 and put together the 2nd ranked offense according to total yards in 2013. Another offseason of work and who knows how many points they could put up. Without knowing what the Jaguars will do in the draft, they simply do not have the offensive firepower to keep up with the Eagles. That might change if they get a quarterback who can put up points, but right now this offense isn’t potent enough.
