As the 2014 NFL Draft approaches in May, I’ll be periodically posting mock drafts with and without trades. This mock draft was constructed using the Mock Draft Simulator on Fanspeak.com with the proposed trades included in the premium package. Here’s what I cooked up for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Check out my 1.0 mock draft here.

Round 1, Pick 3 – TRADE!

"Minnesota Vikings trade 1st round (1.8), 2nd round (2.8), and 3rd round picks (3.8 and 3.32) to the Jacksonville Jaguars for 1st round pick (1.3)"

Round 1, Pick 8: Teddy Bridgewater, QB Louisville

Oct 10, 2013; Louisville, KY, USA; Louisville Cardinals quarterback Teddy Bridgewater (5) throws a pass against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights during the second half at Papa John

I was absolutely thrilled to see Teddy Bridgewater still on the board when the Jaguars were on the clock at number three, and I was completely content with taking him off the board right there. But the offer from the Vikings was just too much to pass up in such a deep draft. I made the trade, and watched Bridgewater fall right to my lap again at number 8. This is an absolute dream scenario for the Jacksonville Jaguars, and I honestly can’t think of a more ideal situation.

Up next: Anthony Barr (LB, UCLA), Mike Evans (WR, Texas A&M)
