Senior Bowl Risers
By David Johns
Last year it was Eric Fisher who ascended draft boards after his performance in Senior Bowl practices. Fisher was a name that many had considered a 1st round pick, but he was not a lock to be the first overall selection. However, with a strong Senior Bowl outing, Fisher opened the eyes of scouts and coaches. Fisher used the all star stage set by the nation’s top seniors, and elevated his status to No. 1 overall.
This year has been no different. If you’ve been following the all star practices, you’ve probably been hearing a few names being mentioned. What I can gather so far from this week regarding each position group is that wide receiver and cornerback are loaded. Offensive line is loaded (as usual). Regarding the defensive line, it’s a little thin at the top, but there is a good number of DTs and DEs that would make sense in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.
So which players separated themselves from the pack this week?
