Jacksonville Jaguars fans are now joined by the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens at 0-0, and that feels good. The 2013 season is getting ever closer and that begins with the offseason.  During this time of speculation Jags fans will be looking to the draft to see where the team can make a splash.  With GM Dave Caldwell coming out and saying the Jaguars will not be making a big splash in free agency, the draft seems like the right place to do it.

Fansided.com has released their post-Super Bowl mock draft and the Jags continue their quest for a premium pass rusher.

Writer Josh Hill awards DE/OLB Bjoern Werner to the Jags, saying,

"The Jaguars are under new leadership from top to bottom but don’t think that means they’re going to take a quarterback. The Jaguars need a pass rusher to come off the edge and get pressure on opposing quarterbacks. Werner is hands down the best edge rusher in this year’s class and he’s quickly risen to the top of the draft. Had the Chiefs a need for a pass rusher, Werner would be in discussion for the No. 1 pick, so Jacksonville’s getting a stud in the former Seminole."

I’m a big fan of Werner at number two, even with the potential need for a new quarterback.  Yesterday Caldwell said that Blaine Gabbert is not terrible, so maybe the idea of a QB at two is starting to become a little out of favor.
