Everyone is glad when the preseason is finally over and the real games begin in the NFL, but this preseason was particularly exciting for the Jacksonville Jaguars. In their second year under head coach Gus Bradley and general manager David Caldwell, the Jaguars have a completely different look on both sides of the ball including a rookie quarterback selected in the first round. Expectations have remained fairly low for the Jaguars in 2014, but some surprising individual performances have made a few people reconsider their preconceived notions about the franchise.
Statistics are almost completely meaningless in the preseason, but one can gather a little bit more from advanced metrics. With that in mind, we turn to Pro Football Focus to help us evaluate some of the Jaguars best and worst performers of the preseason. We’ll start with the most obvious one…
