I would love and write a long detailed entry about the Jaguars’ battle with the Colts this afternoon. And I will. But. Just not tonight. I am, alas, a math teacher and there are lesson plans that are calling my name.
The important things to note:
For being a team that would be lucky to have a winning season, we looked pretty darn good against the Colts. Yeah, we had our share of mistakes but our rookies stood their own against the much more experienced Colts.
I will repeat that last bit.
Yes, sometimes Monroe got beat but he was up [...]
After 8 years, Long Snapper Joe Zelenka will no longer be a Jacksonville Jaguar. While Zelenka was a fan favorite and a great spokesman for the team, he was simply outplayed by third year man Jeremy Cain. The word from Jaguars beat writer Michael Wright on Twitter is that there is [...]
Tonight is the last chance for many Jaguars players to earn their starting job or even roster spot. Let’s take a look at some key position battles and what I think will be the outcome.
Offensive Line:
Del Rio has said the starting O-Line tonight will be LT Monroe, LG Manuwai, C Meester, RG Pashos, RT Britton. Del Rio has also said that starting line tonight will closely resemble the starters against the Colts. My take is that either Tony Pashos or Mo Williams will be out of a job as of next week. Uche Nwaneri has youth and was battling [...]
