Jacksonville Has Football Fever

Oh god oh god oh god tomorrow I am going to a REAL FOOTBALL GAME. It has been too long. I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas morning. I can’t wait to make that trek to The Jack with my friends. I can’t wait to see my fellow fans in section 217. Look at me. I am stupidly excited.

However, it is not entirely my fault. The Jaguars are making it easy to be excited. Here are the activities for the game, sent via e-mail by the Jaguars:

National Anthem

Performing the National Anthem for this week’s game is Heather Bureau. The Colors will be presented by the United States Air Force from Moody AFB, Georgia. On hand to interpret the Star Spangled Banner for the hearing impaired is Elizabeth Ashley Grant Morales. A flyover will be performed by four F/A-18C Hornets from the Werewolves of Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 122. VMFA-122 is stationed at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, South Carolina.

For this week’s halftime entertainment, the Jacksonville Jaguars very own D-Line will perform! The D-Line has been performing for five years and has become an exciting and integral part of the Jaguars game day. They perform during games and mak e appearances at events around the city. To book the D-Line for your next event, call 633-6000 or visit jaguars.com. Coming soon, the first ever D-Line CD, which will be released later this fall.

Crazy Dave’s Item of the Game

This week’s Crazy Dave featured “Item of the Game” is the Jaguars Lunch Bag. This lunch bag normally sells for $12.00; however, as part of the “Crazy Dave” sale we are selling this lunch bag for only $6.00. You can pick up your lunch bag as early as 4:30 PM on Saturday when our JagWear store located at section 143 on the main concourse opens for our fans to start their 2008 season shopping.

Bud Zone
The place to meet and mingle in the South End Zone! Enjoy $4.00 draft beers from 4:30pm – 6:30pm.

Sky Lounge
The Sky Lounge, located on the Sky Patio above the Bud Zone, opens to the public after kick-off. Due to the overwhelming popularity of the Sky Lounge, exclusive access will require the purchase of two commemorative beverage tokens which may be used for your choice of beverages anytime you visit the Sky Lounge.

1800 Cantinas
Located at the top of the two escalator towers, near section 416 on the upper west and 430 on the upper east, the 1800 cantina offers fans in the North end or upper concourse areas of the stadium a place to socialize without having to travel to the Bud Zone. They are full service bars with flat screen TV’s, a wide variety of import and specialty beers, and will offer special 1800 Tequila promotions throughout the season.

Jack Daniels Party Plaza
The Jack Daniels Party Plaza is located on the main concourse at section 118. This bar, themed after the Jack Dani els Old No. 7 Brand, is a great place to meet your friends both prior to or during the game. Be sure to find the Jack Daniels girls to get your special souvenir!

Unfortunately, it does not look like Derrick Harvey will be joining us for the game tomorrow. It is silly how often I check the internet to see if he has signed yet. I am just exhausted by the whole thing and I am not even part of the Jaguars’ administration. I can’t imagine how Del Rio and Harvey feel. Hold outs stink.
