The Jacksonville Jaguars took a huge step forward last season, nearly beating the eventual Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs on the road in the playoffs. With another offseason to rid the organization of Urban Meyer's stench and add critical pieces (Hello Calvin Ridley!), Jacksonville should be expected to take another leap next year.

Nonetheless, current Super Bowl odds dramatically undervalue the Jaguars and now is the perfect time to take advantage of sportsbook's mistakes.

Here are the odds and why I believe Jacksonville is the league's most underrated team:

Jaguars Super Bowl Odds

Why the Jaguars are Undervalued

These odds are downright disrespectful to Trevor Lawrence and Doug Pederson. They have the eighth-best odds in the AFC to win the Super Bowl, behind even the pathetic Denver Broncos (+2500). They have the 13th-best odds overall, but I'd argue the only AFC teams you can definitively rank over them are the Chiefs, Bills, and Bengals. Even then, I think the Jaguars could leapfrog the latter two.

Consider that Jacksonville plays in a division with the Colts, Texans, and Titans. Those three teams have the worst odds in the entire AFC to win the Super Bowl. The Jaguars are overwhelming favorites to win their division and thus host a playoff game. You're telling me that three AFC West teams should be ranked above a nearly-guaranteed division winner? Please.

Resigning Evan Engram while reinstating Calvin Ridley from suspension gives Lawrence a dynamic, versatile supporting cast alongside Travis Etienne and Christian Kirk. Lawrence finished last season with over 4,100 passing yards and 30 TDs to just seven interceptions and should improve on those numbers next year.

The defense allowed just 4.8 yards per play over the final three games of the season, finding its own at the conclusion of the year. If the unit builds on those performances, the defense could be as dangerous as the offense, especially with young players like Josh Allen and Travon Walker.

Even if the defense doesn't take a step forward (and it should), the offense will be one of the NFL's best and that alone will propel Jacksonville to Super Bowl contention. These odds will be closer to +1200 or +1500 by the end of the season, so jump on board now to snatch this value up while you can.
