The Jacksonville Jaguars are a team coming into the 2023 NFL Draft with big-time expectations. They had a very good year last year and are now looking to take that next step.

If they have a good draft that brings in some talent at positions of need, they might be able to be even better this year.

The AFC is loaded with good teams led by good quarterbacks so the Jaguars need to be ready. They need to be smart over the rest of this week.

At the draft, they might consider making a big trade that can help them in the long run. These are three surprise trades that they might consider:

The Jacksonville Jaguars can move up a few slots for different players.

The Jacksonville Jaguars might really like someone that is supposed to go right at the end of the top ten. Maybe it is a receiver, an offensive lineman, or a defensive pass rusher.

All of those things would be awesome for the Jaguars to add but they would need to move up in order to get the best of the best. The Philadelphia Eagles currently hold the tenth overall pick that was given to them in a deal with the New Orleans Saints.

The defending NFC champions may want to move back if they can get more picks in return which is exactly what this trade suggests. It should be a surprise to nobody if the Jaguars take a risk and move up this year. They are good enough to think about things like that this year.

If moving up can get this team where they need to be in 2023, they should think about it. There are some really good players coming out.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Jacksonville Jaguars could make a trade.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are going to be going through a rebuild. Tom Brady has retired and he isn't coming back.

They might try to unload some of their big-money players while rebuilding on the fly. Someone like Mike Evans could be a guy on the way out of town.

If the Jaguars made a move like this for Evans, it would be good for both sides. He'd be able to stay in Florida while moving to a team that has a chance to win.

With guys like Calvin Ridley, Christian Kirk, Evan Engram, and Travis Etienne amongst others around him as weapons for Trevor Lawrence, it would be a good situation for him in terms of production as well. An offense like that would be very good.

Giving up a second-round pick this year and a future fourth would make a lot of sense. The Jaguars are trying to win right now and they need to act like it.

The Jacksonville Jaguars would love to add a running back to help out.

Over the last handful of years, Derrick Henry has been one of the best running backs in the NFL. The Tennessee Titans have been a one-seed in the AFC a couple of times on the back of his outstanding play which tells you how great he's been.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have had to play in the same division as him for all these years which has not been fun. It would be nice to see him join their team as he has been mentioned in some trade rumors (that may or may not be true) throughout the winter.

The Jaguars might have to pay a little bit more considering they are a division rival but that might be worth it. With Travis Etienne and Derrick Henry in Trevor Lawrences' backfield, they could become very dangerous.

All of these trades are somewhat risky and would be kind of surprising but they would be fun ways to improve the team. At the end of the day, people just want the Jaguars to succeed and they need to make some moves this week to improve their chances.
