The NFL offseason is a time of excitement and anticipation for fans and teams alike. As the league year begins, the Jacksonville Jaguars need to bolster their pass rush.

With six games pivotal games against the sinister six; Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrows, Josh Allen, Deshawn Watson, and the San Francisco 49ers. the Jags need to add a disruptive force to attack the slate of elite quarterbacks they will face in key games this year.

The Jags have $11 million left in cap space and a team built to make a deep playoff run, and they need to consider adding one of these three edge rushers to be the final piece to their roster.

No. 3 Jaguars Pass rush option: The enigmatic Jadeveon Clowney

Defensive end Jadeveon Clowney's journey through the NFL has been anything but conventional. With a reputation for being an enigmatic force on the field, Clowney has struggled to find a consistent role in recent years.

However, his raw talent and ability to disrupt opposing offenses cannot be denied. Jaguars HC Doug Pederson is known for his ability to handle talented yet unpredictable players, could be an ideal destination for Clowney.

With a burgeoning roster in place, the Jaguars have the potential and talent to support Clowney's unique personality. Furthermore, Jacksonville's rotational pass-rushing approach would allow Clowney to make an impact without the burden of being the primary focus of the defense.

Known for his explosive playmaking ability and relentless pursuit of the quarterback, Clowney has established himself as one of the premier pass rushers in the league. While he may come with a hefty price tag, his impact on the field would be well worth it for the Jaguars.

Adding Clowney to their defensive line would improve their pass rush and provide leadership and experience to their young players. Last year Clowney started ten games for the Cleveland Browns, and at 30 years old, he is still a viable threat to rush the passer. He has compiled 43 sacks and 109 quarterback hits in his eight-year career.

No 2. Jaguars pass rush option: The veteran Melvin Ingram

Outside linebacker Melvin Ingram's tenure in the NFL has been marked by his ability to perform at a high level consistently. Despite his age, Ingram has maintained a remarkable level of play, earning overall and pass-rush grades above 70.0 for eight consecutive seasons.

His effectiveness as a pass rusher and his experience and leadership make him an appealing option for teams needing a veteran presence on their defensive line. The Jaguars, with their need for additional depth at the defensive end, could benefit from Ingram's skills and knowledge of the game. His ability to make impactful plays, even in a rotational role, would provide valuable support to a defense seeking to take the next step.

Ingram could be a game-changer for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2023. With their already surprising success in the 2022 season, adding a player of Ingram's caliber would further elevate their chances of becoming title contenders. All things considered, Jacksonville would be an ideal landing spot for Ingram, and it's easy to see why. His presence on the field would improve their defense and bring valuable leadership and experience to the team.

Ingram's skill set includes his ability to rush the passer, set the edge against the run, and disrupt opposing offenses. His versatility would fit well with the Jaguars' defensive scheme and could potentially elevate their overall performance on that side of the ball. The bottom line is that with his proven track record and potential impact, Ingram could play a vital role in the Jaguars' quest for success in 2023.

No. 1 Jaguars pass rush option: The multifaceted option Kyle Van Noy

Linebacker Kyle Van Noy's versatility on the field makes him a valuable asset for any team. With experience as both a pass rusher and an off-ball linebacker, Van Noy brings a unique skill set to the table. The Jags, in need of depth at both the EDGE and linebacker positions, could benefit from Van Noy's ability to contribute in multiple roles.

Van Noy's experience and leadership qualities would provide valuable support to a young Jaguars' defense. He has the potential to be an essential piece of the puzzle for the Jaguars in 2023. His proven track record, versatility, and leadership qualities make him an invaluable addition to any team. If signed by the Jaguars, Van Noy could significantly enhance their defense and contribute to their overall success in the upcoming season.

His statistics and performance in previous seasons speak for themselves. He has consistently showcased his versatility, agility, and football IQ, making him a valuable asset on any team. His ability to disrupt plays, rush the passer, and drop back in coverage adds a dynamic element to his game. Furthermore, Van Noy's leadership qualities and professionalism make him an invaluable presence both on and off the field.

In terms of the Jaguars' defensive strategy, Van Noy's skillset aligns perfectly with their goals. As the team focuses on building a strong defense, Van Noy's expertise will play a crucial role in achieving this objective.

His experience in high-pressure situations and ability to make game-changing plays will provide stability and confidence to the entire defensive unit. Moreover, Van Noy's impact extends beyond his individual performance. He will elevate the performance of his teammates, inspiring them to raise their game and strive for excellence.

As a leader on the field, Van Noy will not only contribute with his own playmaking abilities but also mentor and guide younger players, helping them develop into successful NFL athletes.
