2. Not fixing the TE problem

The Jacksonville Jaguars need to address their tight end issue in 2023.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have one minor issue going into the postseason. We already talked about getting Trevor Lawrence more help and that is absolutely true. They need to make sure that he is comfortable with his weapons and offensive line in addition to the rest of the team playing well.

One weapon type that needs to be zoned in on, however, is the tight end position. We have seen around the NFL how the tight-end position has evolved.

It is more important now than it was even 15 years ago. Guys like Rob Gronkwski, Travis Kelce, and George Kittle amongst others haven’t found themselves in the final few rounds of the playoffs by accident. Yes, they all have had good quarterback play but they are certainly a big part of that.

The Jaguars had a really good one in 2022 with Evan Engram. He is now a free agent now that the 2022-23 season is over for the Jags.

They need to make sure that they do one of two things this off-season. They either need to re-sign him or go out and draft his replacement. There are plenty of good options in the 2023 NFL Draft for them to consider. If they don’t, things could get ugly for the offense as they try to grow.
