3 potential landing spots for former Jaguars LB Myles Jack
No. 2 landing spot for former Jaguars LB Myles Jack – Cowboys.
Dak Prescott showed how much the Dallas Cowboys are when he’s on the field, helping them get to the postseason one year after finishing 6-10. However, the Boys are aware Prescott alone isn’t enough to make a deep playoff run, which is why they have made a strong push to keep most of their own pending free agents.
Besides applying the franchise tag on tight end Dalton Schultz, the Cowboys also gave wide receiver Michael Gallup a five-year deal worth $62.5 million. On the other hand, it looked like they had agreed to a deal with defensive end Randy Gregory before he bolted to the Denver Broncos. The upside of not locking up Gregory is that Dallas has some cap room even after giving fellow defensive end Demarcus Lawrence a new three-year deal. In fact, Lawrence’s deal lowers his cap hit in 2022, so the Cowboys could easily use that extra money to pursue Myles Jack.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones isn’t the kind that shies away from making a splash move, and although Jack doesn’t have as much name recognition as other players, he could certainly fill the void left by linebacker Leighton Vander Esch, who made 16 starts for them last season.
