4. Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence will end his TD drought in Week 17.

Quarterback Trevor Lawrence nearly scored a running touchdown in Week 15 but he fumbled the ball and offensive tackle Will Richardson (starting at right tackle) recovered in the New York Jets’ end zone for the touchdown. The rookie passer told the media after the game he doesn’t like the circumstances that led to the touchdown but went on to say that he was glad Richardson got it.

On Sunday Lawrence will score for the first time since Week 12. The Jaguars showed some competence on offense against the Jets and if they can get some momentum, they should put an end to their streak of games without a passing touchdown.

5. Jaguars WR Marvin Jones Jr. will go over 100 yards and score a TD.

The Jaguars have placed so many players on the COVID-19/Reserve list that it’s easier to list who isn’t in it. Jokes aside, as many as 25 players could be unavailable Sunday but one that is set to play is wide receiver Marvin Jones Jr.

Jones has only had one 100-yard game in 2021 and that came against the Miami Dolphins in the Jags’ first win of the season. Without any other weapons on offense, opposing teams have been able to take the veteran receiver out of games but in Week 17, he will be a reliable target for Lawrence and will go over 100 yards for the second time this season. Also, he will be on the receiving end of the rookie’s touchdown pass.
