No. 3 Draft prospect the Jaguars must watch – Andrew Stueber, OT.

The Jaguars have a finite number of picks in the first two rounds and as important as those will be, they will also make sure they acquired contributors with their late-round selections. Michigan won’t send many offensive linemen to the NFL in 2022 but one of them that will get his name called next April is Andrew Stueber.

The Connecticut native played guard and right tackle during his collegiate career with the Wolverines. He’s one of several prospects that have accepted an invite to the Reese’s Senior Bowl. He’s good in pass protection but needs to do a better job in run blocking. He could be a solid Day 3 pick and will have the chance to rise his draft stock in the upcoming months.

The Jaguars need to add depth to their interior offensive line next offseason. Starting guards A.J. Cann and Andrew Norwell are set to become free agents next offseason. Veteran backup Tyler Shatley and offensive tackle Will Richardson, who has lined up at guard, will also hit the open market next year.

The front office should bring back Norwell and/or Shatley but they also need to replenish the unit. They won’t probably use their early round picks on an offensive guard but they could use of their later-round selections on one and Stueber is someone they should have on their radar.
