Jaguars mock draft, second round, 33rd overall pick, Drake London, WR.

Drake London was one of the most dynamic wide receivers in college football in 2021. In just eight games, he hauled in 88 passes for 1,084 yards with seven touchdowns. However, fracture his ankle this past October, effectively ending his junior season.

He’s CBS Sports’ fifth-ranked receiver prospect in next year’s draft and there’s a chance he will be available at 33rd, the first pick of the second round and the one the Jaguars might possess. His 6-5 frame would be an asset for a Jaguars’ offense that has struggled to score in 2021. Even if the California native is a bit raw in his rookie campaign, he would be a great red-zone target.

The Jaguars need to bolster their wide receiver corps next offseason and drafting London in the second round is one of the man moves they need to make next offseason. The team’s brass also needs to re-sign DJ Chark Jr., who is also coming off a fractured ankle. The LSU Tiger was the Jags’ sole deep threat this year, and once he went down, Jacksonville had a hard time pushing the ball downfield. He and London could give Trevor Lawrence a couple of solid options in the passing game.

Left tackle and wide receiver are arguably the Jaguars’ biggest needs heading into the offseason and they address both in the first two rounds of the draft. They can use the next two rounds to add depth and keep fortifying their offense.
