2. The Jacksonville Jaguars’ wide receiver corps could use a boost.

The Jaguars have made several additions to their tight end room in the past couple of months. First, they signed Jacob Hollister not long after he was released by the Buffalo Bills. They later traded for Arnold, and the unit looks in good shape even though James O’Shaughnessy was placed on the injury reserve list with a high ankle sprain. It’s time the team turns their attention to the wide receiver corps.

DJ Chark Jr. is out with a fractured ankle. That leaves Laviska Shenault Jr. and Marvin Jones Jr. as the top two receivers on the Jaguars’ depth chart. They could use a third option though. Jacksonville claimed Tyron Johnson off waivers before the start of the season but the Oklahoma State product has failed to make an impact, appearing in just eight percent of the team’s total snaps on offense and hauling in one reception for six yards.

Tavon Austin landed in Duval in training camp and made the final 53-man roster. He was placed on the injury reserve before the start of the season and was recently activated. In two games, he’s caught six passes for 62 yards. He might be that third receiver the Jags need but they should err on the side of caution and add reinforcements before the trade deadline.
