2) The Jacksonville Jaguars will reinforce both lines in the draft.

The Jaguars made many additions to the defensive front and kept their offensive line intact. However, Urban Meyer said in the sit-down that even though “they addressed some of the needs on the defensive line in free agency”, there’s still plenty of work left, “How good is your team? How good is your defensive line? That’s the first answer.”

This Jacksonville team focused on adding depth in free agency, signing defensive linemen Jahid Ward and Roy Robertson-Harris. Moreover, they traded for Malcom Brown and brought back Dawuane Harris and Adam Gotsis. However, they could still bolster their defensive line by adding an EDGE defender. Josh Allen should be fully healthy after dealing with a knee injury and K’Lavon Chaisson should play better in Year 2 but you can never have enough pass rusher.

Regarding the other side of the ball, Meyer asked a similar question, “how’s your team? How’s your offensive line?.” The team’s brass likes their current group but believes they can play better and the head coach thinks there’s plenty of room for improvement. For that reason, they will try to bring some competition in the draft, as it brings out the best in everyone.

The offensive tackle class is deep and the Jags could even end up with a quality starter in the third round. There will be some talented offensive guard prospects, and Jacksonville has five picks in the top 65, so it’s wouldn’t be surprising to see them take one or even two offensive line prospects early in the draft.
