The Jacksonville Jaguars’ defense will have a chance to finish strong.

1. Jaguars defensive end K’Lavon Chaisson will get two sacks.

Defensive end K’Lavon Chaisson was a non-factor early in the season. Throughout the first half of the season, the LSU standout looked overwhelmed and had a hard time generating pressure upfront. Although he recorded his first NFL sack in just the second game, he had eight pressures in the Jaguars’ first nine games of the year.

Since Week 11, Chaisson has logged 18 pressures and has displayed glimpses of the player the Jaguars they thought they were getting when they made him the 20th overall pick in 2020. He will get his second and third sack of the year.

2. Jacksonville’s defense will allow less than 25 points.

After allowing 30 points or more for six consecutive weeks early in the season, the Jaguars’ defense played better after their Bye Week and gave up 27 points or less for five straight games in spite of dealing with injuries. Nevertheless, the wheels have fallen off and they have surrendered a monstrous 112 points in the last three games.

The Jaguars’ defense will figure things out in Week 17 and will allow a season-low 25 points against the Colts.
