The Jacksonville Jaguars could get this Super-Bowl-winning executive.

General manager Brett Veach is responsible for assembling a formidable roster with last year’s Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs. However, he hasn’t done it alone and has been helped by Football Operations Counsel and Personnel Executive Chris Shea.

Shea earned a Juris Doctor degree at Hofstra University School of Law and worked for the NFL’s Management Council as a Law Clerk and later as Coordinator of Labor Operations from 2007 to 2008. He then worked for the Miami Dolphins in different capacities from 2008 to 2015.

Later, Shea would become the Philadelphia Eagles’ director of Scouting Administration/Strategic Management. He joined the Chiefs as their Salary Cap and Legal Executive in 2017 and helps oversee different areas of the team such as the scouting, legal, and personnel departments.

Although Shea arrived in Kansas City after the Chiefs had drafted franchise quarterback Patrick Mahomes, he’s played a role in keeping the team’s championship core intact and re-signing key players such as defensive tackle Chris Jones, wide receiver Tyreek Hill and Mahomes himself.

Shea would likely focus on just one area of the Jaguars front office but he could help the organization hire the right people to oversee its different areas.
