"“I think in looking at it, we want to be able to see if we can get some playmakers. We feel like we have some already. We want to make sure we focus around that. I think it is more showcasing where our best talent is. I think that’s the most important thing.”"

That was the comment made by Marrone when asked about the new offensive game plan with Jay Gruden who was brought in as the team’s new offensive coordinator. He’s right – the Jaguars need more playmakers to help this offense grow.

While it is true quarterback Gardner Minshew has to play at a higher level and the running game and pass catchers on the roster must put forth more effort, it appears the front office is leaning toward grabbing a few of those playmakers in the Draft.

The Jaguars could strike early with a wide receiver at either No. 9 or No. 20, but at least one should come off the board by the third round. Don’t be surprised if the team trades up or back into Round 2 if there is a wide receiver who falls a bit. This could impact how the team uses Dede Westbrook in the final year of his rookie deal.
