Henry Ruggs III, WR, Alabama

Henry Ruggs is now the hot player on everybody’s draft board. While I don’t think the Jaguars will add his pass-catching mate. Jerry Jeudy from Alabama, Adding the speedster with the 20th pick is intriguing for many reasons.

The 4.27 speed at the Combine made every team stand up and take notice.

The Jaguars have a star in the making in DJ Chark and complementary receivers in Dede Westbrook and Chris Conley. Add Keelan Cole to the mix and Jacksonville has one of the fastest wide receiving groups in the NFL.

Ruggs’ ability to play on the outside or in the slot should give new offensive coordinator Jay Gruden plenty to work with and plenty of options for a vertical passing game they had issues last year.

They just need to produce more consistently.

If he is available around the 15th pick in the draft, Jacksonville may consider trading up knowing that a team like Denver could use his services.

Also, if he is drafted, it makes the wide receiver room that much better and the competition in training camp that much harder.
