Jim Caldwell

The thought of Jim Caldwell running the Jaguars offense actually makes me smile. The man who had a hand in making Peyton Manning one of the all-time greats certainly would give this offense a shot in the arm. Regardless of who is under center, Caldwell’s experience would be instrumental in their development.

He has also worked with Joe Flacco and Matthew Stafford.

Caldwell could come in, knowing this could be a one-and-done situation if the offense cannot turn things around, and help develop a system that caters to the strengths of Nick Foles or Gardner Minshew and Leonard Fournette and the ground game.

The wide receiver and tight end room would also benefit from Caldwell, who used an array of weapons in the passing game while the head coach in Indianapolis.
