3. What do you think the 49ers best chance is for winning this game? Which player do you think has to step up to make it happen?

"It’s easy. The 49ers need to establish a running game to ease pressure off of Garoppolo. Last week against the Titans, Carlos Hyde had 25 yards on 16 carries which is not good enough to consistently win football games. Luckily the 49ers had Garoppolo to come to the rescue. The offensive line hasn’t been good at all but Hyde needs to be the one to step it up. If the run game doesn’t work, which it most likely won’t, then Hyde has to excel at other things like catching passes out of the backfield and picking up defenders on the blitz as well. He’s been a great dual threat for the 49ers while remaining healthy but he needs to have a big game this week to make up for last week."

My take:

Carlos Hyde is a guy I was very high on and I still might be. He occasionally flashes and looks like a Pro Bowl RB, but he’s been plagued with drops and is too inconsistent.

The Jaguars have improved significantly in defending the run over the course of the season, but they are still prone to some bad run fits. If Hyde gets going, the 49ers will get some points on the board.
