4) Jacksonville Jaguars @ Houston Texans, Week 17
It may all come down to this game for the AFC South. Whether the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars are the division leaders, just one of them is, or either of them are just a game back from the Indianapolis Colts, it could all come down to a Week 17 matchup in Houston.
The Jaguars have at least three games that they could win to get to this point, maybe four or five. The Texans have three, maybe four winnable games to this point. We could be seeing a matchup of a 7-8 and 8-7 squad here, but this is the NFL and really anything could happen.
Either way, getting out to .500 may be enough to win the division and this Week 17 matchup could determine which team makes it to .500 and which team doesn’t.
With the Texans in flux at the quarterback position and struggling everywhere except wherever DeAndre Hopkins happens to be on the field, the Jaguars could quite possibly come out and win this game. They are the more complete unit at this point and unless the Texans defense suddenly re-finds its form, this one could go the way of Jacksonville and secure them the division.
Next: ....unless they need a little help
