Jacksonville Jaguars vs Houston Texans: 5 Players To Watch
By Luke Sims
Dec 1, 2013; Cleveland, OH, USA; Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Sen
3) Sen’Derrick Marks, DT, Jacksonville Jaguars
Sen’Derrick Marks has been playing on a Pro Bowl level all year long and is the difference maker in the Jags defense. As he plays, so does the rest of the defense. He leads the way in sacks, collapsing the pocket, and allowing the linebackers to make plays. He takes pressure off the secondary as they have struggled to cover receivers all year long. Without Marks, the Jags would likely have a very rough game on their hands. Yet he’s going to suit up and he’s likely to put in the same quality work he has all season. If he can collapse the pocket and get in the backfield on running plays, then the Jags’ D will be able to set the tone for the game and control the wya things play out. If not, then it will be a long day for the Jags defense. How Marks fares against the Houston offensive line will be something to keep an eye on each and every play.
