Round Three: Carlos Hyde, Running Back, Ohio State
Jacksonville lost Maurice Jones-Drew to the Raiders in free agency and signed Toby Gerhart. Gerhart is expected to be the bell cow, with a dose of Jordan Todman and Denard Robinson who is expected to have a much larger role. I still would not be opposed to taking a running back, especially one as highly regarded as Hyde. He is a big, physical running back (5’11, 230lbs., 4.66 40) that knows how to dish out punishment and take it. He has all the attributes of being the type of back that can carry the mail. He is a north/south runner that knows how to follow his blocks.
