Beyoncé. Beyoncé. Beyoncé.

One of the best things about the Super Bowl is that there’s always a little something for everyone.  Not  a fan of football?  How ’bout some food, funny ads, and a half time show filled with Beyoncé?

The rumors have been circulating for a while about a Destiny’s Child reunion and USA Magazine made the report that both Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland will be joining Beyoncé for a medley of “Survivor,” “Bills, Bills, Bills,” and their new single “Nuclear.”  They are all keeping their lips shut, however.

Beyoncé is expected to open the show solo, be joined by Rowland and Williams, and then end the show solo again.  MTV speculates abut a potential Jay-Z appearance, but that could be nothing more than conjecture.

At least everything is looking like it’s going to be 100% live.  Per MTV, “I will absolutely be singing live [on Sunday]. I am well-rehearsed and I will be singing live. This is what I was born to do.”  This is good considering she lip-synced her way through President Obama’s inauguration just last month.

Get ready for it.  Beyoncé.

The Super Bowl, Super Baugh, or the Bro Bowl will be decided not just by the coaches – though there are two great ones in the final game – but by the personnel that make up the teams.

Sorry San Francisco 49ers fans, but here’s why the Baltimore Ravens will beat your team in the Super Bowl:

Ray Rice

• Ray Rice was quiet during the end of the season and hasn’t been very loud during the playoffs.  He’ll get back on track against the Niners, and that’s because he’s a serious dual threat.  San Fran boasts a formidable rushing defense, but Rice has the ability to do work both receiving and catching.  Rice had 478 receiving yards in the regular season to go with his 1143 on the ground.  He’ll get back on track and be a headache for the Niners all day long on Sunday.

Haloti Ngata

• Ngata is the strength of the Ravens defensive line and he will show it against the Niners.  He will set the tone for the defensive line and force the Niners’ offensive line to play around him rather than do what they want.  This will free up guys like Paul Kruger and Terrell Suggs to make plays.  The plan has worked all season long and Ngata has contributed for a ridiculous 10 defensive stops in the postseason alone.

Emotion

• Make no mistake, the Baltimore Ravens are the underdogs in Super Bowl XLVII.  The odds are in the favor of the Niners and San Francisco has top players at almost every position.  Yet the experts keep picking the Ravens to win it, and that’s because of the emotion involved.  Ray Lewis wants to retire on top, Terrell Suggs and Ed Reed are looking for their first ring in stellar careers.  It’s all boiling down to a group of players that will outplay their talent in order to hoist the Lombardi trophy.  Football is a very emotional game and teams can have huge performances when it’s all on the line.  It’s all on the line for Baltimore.

Sorry Baltimore Ravens fans, but here’s why the San Francisco 49ers are going to beat your team:

Offensive Line

• One of the major reasons that Colin Kaepernick has been able to do so well after taking over for Alex Smith is because of the fantastic play of San Fran’s offensive line.  The big guys up front are able to bully, pull, and pass block better than most teams and they will show it against Baltimore.  Baltimore’s interior defensive linemen are good, but the Niners have been able to push up the middle very effectively throughout the year.

Michael Crabtree

• Michael Crabtree had a ridiculously efficient season in 2012.  It has only gotten better since Kaepernick took over at quarterback.  Roughly half of Crabtree’s total yards for the season came after the catch and he will continue that against Baltimore.  Without Crabtree, Kaepernick’s options dwindle down and Vernon Davis has to pick up a significant part of that burden.  With Crabtree, the defense is more spread out and must respect his ability to break free.  Randy Moss may be the distraction, but Crabtree is the real receiving force and his impact will be felt.

Run Defense

• The Niners boast a formidable rush defense. Fourth in the league during the regular season, the rushing defense sets up the pass defense.  The Ravens will have to beat the Niners through the air, and that’s the San Fran way wants it.  Joe Flacco plays much worse under pressure (45.3% complete) and when the Niners can focus on the pass it will likely result in big pressure plays from guys like Aldon Smith.  The Ravens may not be able to do anything to stop the run defense from making them one-dimensional.
