The Jags’ Justin Blackmon is featured heavily in the second season of “Everything To Prove”. A web series presented by Gatorade and NFL Films that follows top picks through their adjustment to the NFL.

He is specifically featured in the following episodes:

In Act III, Episode 2, Justin impresses NFL scouts and coaches during Oklahoma State’s pro day. Later in the episode, Justin sits down with a nutritionist from the Gatorade Sports Science Institute who explains what foods he needs to focus on consuming in order to properly fuel his body.

In Act IV, Episode 1, Justin is shown receiving a call from the Jaguars the night of the draft before NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announces that the team has selected him with the fifth overall pick.

In Act IV, Episode 2, Justin arrives at the Jaguars’ team facility to meet with his new team.

In Act V, Episode 2, Justin participates in drills at Jaguars camp, working with the team’s wide receivers coach.

The series can be watched by fans at NFL.com/ETP. Finally some good publicity for the Jags! Hard Knocks may have passed Jacksonville up, but with the rising star that is Justin Blackmon the rest of the league (and its fans) will begin to take notice again.

Anything the Jaguars do these days is sure to be met with the jabbering of the peanut gallery. Today, the franchise confirmed that they will be playing four “home” games in London during the 2013-2016 seasons. New owner Shad Khan has expressed his interest in pioneering new marketing strategies for the Jaguars and has already begun this venture by hiring Mark Lamping for the role of team president in an effort to grow the franchise’s regional brand throughout north Florida and south Georgia, due to his success in achieving a similar effort for the St. Louis Cardinals while serving as their team president for more than 13 years. Khan also expressed in his first public address as team owner his interest in building the Jaguars’ international brand by offering to play “home” games abroad and his press conference today confirmed that he and NFL Czar Roger Goodell have agreed to do so. Some people are intrigued, while some think this can only bring more harm than good. The truth is that this shrewd business decision is not a maneuver aimed at the short-term, but a low-risk, high-upside gamble that seeks to parlay the Jaguars clandestine momentum of the last few years into an explosive worldwide coming out party that will cement our home in Jacksonville and force audiences domestic and abroad to rethink their perception of the Jaguars franchise.

Why NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has yet to rule anything regarding the offseason woes of numerous arrested players this offseason, I fully expect him to come down. Hard. When he does, Kenny Britt will probably get a knock from the commish. And when that happens, the entire AFC South will be happy.

Britt was recently arrested for a DUI in Kentucky.

While seeing NFL players suspended and having a negative impact on the game is never fun, Kenny Britt’s removal from (some) games will make the job of defenses playing the Titans a whole lot easier. Britt has physical tools that Nate Washington simply does not have. He also has the mental abilities that Kendall Wright has yet to develop and has yet to display in a game. After Wright, the drop-off in production (while the receivers will be in more familiar 3-5 receivers) is highly noticeable.

Britt helps to make Chris Johnson a more legitimate threat by presenting a threatening target for Matt Hasselbeck/Jake Locker and draws the defense away from stacking the box. CJ2K is good, but he is no Maurice Jones-Drew and won’t be winning a rushing title against nine-man fronts. Without Britt, Washington and Wright need to outperform their potential, break through their respective ceilings and become legitimate threats in order for the focus of head coach Mike Munchak to actually have an impact. The loss of the top receiving threat (who missed games past game three last season) will be difficult if Jake Locker does step past Hasselbeck and begins starting.

While there has been no action on Britt yet (And I don’t doubt Justin Blackmon will be in trouble as well), the potential loss in production for the Titans offense while he is away could be spirit-breaking for the team and could help the opponents to take advantage of the Titans early in the year.
