]]> The first cuts are being announced by the Jaguars.  As the team trims down to a much slimmer 75 players this weekend, a lot of guys we’ve rooted for and a lot of guys nobody has really noticed will be waived.  So far the Jags have cut eight players:

  • Ashton Youboty, CB
  • Chastin West, WR
  • Nathan Enderle, QB
  • Nate Bussey, LB
  • DuJuan Harris, RB
  • Mike Holmes, CB
  • Dan Hoch, OT
  • Donovan Richard, LB

Some of these players have been with the team (Harris, Youboty, West) and maybe had an edge over some of the newer guys.  Theoretically this is reflecting a lot of confidence in the other players on the roster.  We can only hope that with increased reps, playing time, and more attention from the coaches that those left will grow faster and show why the Jags have kept them around by the next preseason game.
