This is my final mock draft of the 2013 Mock Season. Included inside are a full 1st round and 7 rounds of Jaguars goodness. Follow the link to check it out!

The Chiefs take the more aggressive of the two top tackles.

TRADE — The Lions really want to protect their young QB after losing their two starting tackles. They move up and snag Joeckel after KC bypasses him.

 Penetrating DT that can help restock the DL for the Raiders.

Dion Jordan gets grabbed before the Jags can pick. He can play DE or OLB for the Eagles.

People seem to forget that the Jaguars are relying more on analytics than in the past. The Lewin Scale has been a pretty good indicator of good QBs (with a few outliers) and Geno is one of the higher scores.

 1.6 – Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama

Dee Milliner and Joe Haden? The Browns are building a really nice D. They just need to add a few more pieces (OLB, S) and they could be elite.

 1.7 – Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma

Cards need to better protect their signal callers, whoever it may be. Johnson helps strengthen the line.

Smokescreens aside, this pick makes too much sense.

This is an obvious pick it seems.

Ansah is the answer and the Titans can’t pass up this opportunity to improve their pass rush.

The Bolts need to protect Rivers and Warmack is a good step in that direction.

What?? Yes. This pick. They trade for Brandon Albert and make this an easy choice.

The Jets need to replace Revis. Here’s the answer.

The Panthers have bad DTs and Star would be a steal at 14. Easy choice.

The Saints could use a DE in their switch to the 3-4. Another option could be a rush backer, maybe Jarvis Jones.

St. Louis actually has a pretty darned good defense, but could use some backend help. Vacarro helps solidify the secondary.

The Steelers could opt for a wide receiver, but having Jarvis Jones available is too good to pass up.

The Cowboys are switching to a 4-3 defense and need some meat in the middle. Williams is a penetrating 4-3 DT.

The Giants need a tackle to protect Eli. Fluker can do that.

The Bears OL stinks. Cooper could really improve it. They could also go after a LB.

The Bengals don’t seem to be on the path to re-sign Andre Smith, so Watson would seem to be a logical choice.

Ogletree helps the edge for the Rams with speed and athleticism.

Replacement for Harvin.

A NT for the defense. The Colts could really push deep into the playoffs if the defense was even average.

The Vikes need some reinforcements on the defense and Kevin Minter is the first of many to come to the rescue.

Green Bay, being Green Bay, sits and waits for someone to fall to them. Trufant becomes a starter for them somewhere in the secondary.

Adding Hopkins to the already potent Texans offense will really make them elite.

The Broncos lost their playoff game last year because of a secondary mistake. Cyprien helps to strengthen the secondary and will play next to Moore.

Woods seems destined to fit with the Pats. An overall good player, he should be a fit. Datone Jones could also be the pick.

The Falcons need a defensive end and Tank Carradine is still on the board

The 49ers replace the lost Delanie Walker with Eiffert, an athletic pass catcher.

The Super Bowl Champs replace Ray Lewis with an extremely athletic LB.

1.2 – TRADE! – Some team trades up for Fisher, OT. Jags get a 5th out of the move down. Let’s pretend Detroit makes the move.

1.5 – Jags select Geno Smith, QB, WVU. The new emphasis on metrics and analytics, combined with the production and skill set of Geno make it an easy choice, seeing as he is one of the best scores to ever come through the Lewin scale. “But what about the LEO?” Well, too bad. I want one too, but the Jags believe in the numbers and the tape and take what could be a game-changer in Smith.

2.33 – TRADE! AGAIN! This pick is gonna be hot, too hot to keep in fact. Some team is going to fall in love with a guy Thursday night and be coaxed into believing they have no shot at them by the Jags brass unless they move up. Let the bidding war begin.  I’m gonna pretend a team wants a QB, and that team is Jets and they give up a 3^rd to get to 33 from 39.

2.39 – Cornelius Washington, LEO, UGA. Is he overdrafted? Probably, based on tape, but not on athleticism. He was used incorrectly at Georgia and looks to be a big time LEO candidate. He starts his career as the sub-LEO on passing downs.

3.64 – Another trade? Naw, not this time. Jags select Kyle Long, RT, Oregon. Long has length and athleticism and should fit right in at RT in the ZBS.

3.72 – The Jags look to fortify their LBing corps with the addition of Sio Moore, OLB, UConn. Moore has speed, size and strength. Replaces Russell Allen sooner rather than later.

4.98 – Jags want to use their 4^th on a CB that fits the mold and with it, they select Sanders Commings, CB, UGA.  A sizable CB, Commings fits in the press corner style the Jags want. Two Dawgs? Who cares.

5.135 –Jags start to go towards high ceilings now to try to find some gems. Lavar Edwards, DE, LSU is a 5-tech who could battle with Lane for the starting position. He possesses the size and pedigree to potentially be good.

5.137 – Jags grab another RT prospect in Reid Fragel, T, Ohio State. A massive man at 6’8”, he battles Long and Bradford for the RT spot.

6.169 – Jags get a SS candidate in Cooper Taylor, SS, Richmond. A 6’4”, linebackeresque safety who will be asked to play the line of scrimmage and TE’s, Taylor fits into the Cam Chancellor role.

7.208 - Jags continue to fill out their secondary by selecting Sheldon Price, CB, UCLA. A corner with length and speed, he fits the mold of what the Jags want.
