Seau set a near impossible standard for linebackers, playing 20 seasons split between the San Diego Chargers (1990-2002),  Miami Dolphins (2003-2005), and the New England Patriots (2006-2009).  He was a heart and soul type linebacker intent on playing the game it was meant to be played: with class and intesity.

Seau racked up 56.5, 18 interceptions, and 1524 tackles during his tenure in the NFL.  Seau was an incredibly talented and sharp defensive player and contributed to a lot of the Chargers 1990s success and the later ’00s success of the Patriots.  A favorite of coaches and players, Seau earned the respect of all those around him. He also went to 12 Pro Bowls and was named a First Team All-Pro six times.

While he never played for the Jags, everyone in Jaguars Nation can appreciate the beautiful life and career of a superb football player who should be modeled by linebackers for years to come.
