The Giants managed to perform more aggressively in the second half of the game and limit the offense of the New England Patriots.  Tom Brady, despite going 10/10 on the final drive of the half, was limited to hoping his receivers could hang onto the ball in the final drive of the game.  Aaron Hernandez couldn’t hang onto the ball, Deon Branch’s hands stopped working, and Gronkowski continued to be a non-factor at the end of the game.

It took a lot of will power for Eli Manning to will the Giants to victory, and maybe a little bit of skill on the part of Mario Manningham.

In the end, the AFC was defeated by the NFC yet again and Tom Coughlin began to cement himself in the history books as a dominant head coach (even as the oldest coach in the league).  The Coughlin era has been good for New York, much as it was good for the beginning of the Jaguars era in Jacksonville and the NFL.  Despite a low scoring game, the Giants pulled it out.  Tomorrow, we’ll be looking at what it means for the Jaguars.
