To help you win one of your final matchups of the year, here are my Week 12 fantasy football players to start and sit:

Guys to Start:

QB Eli Manning, NYG (@ WSH) – Manning may only have three touchdowns in his last four games, but all three of them came last weekend. He has finally turned the corner on his mid-season slump and should be considered a great starter this weekend. He will easily eclipse 300 yards and 2 touchdowns in the game against an overaggressive Washington secondary.

RB Beanie Wells, ARI (@ NYJ) – Wells scored twice last week in his return to action, so expect another solid outing from him against a New York defense that is ranked 30th against the run.

WR Brandon Marshall, CHI (vs. SEA) – Seattle’s secondary is looming with uncertainty, so expect Marshall to torch them as home.

TE Owen Daniels, HOU (@ TEN) – Daniels has scored a touchdown in three of his last four games and has become Matt Schaub’s favorite red zone option.

Guys to Sit:

QB Joe Flacco, BAL (vs. PIT) – Flacco only has one multi-touchdown game in his last eight performances. Now factor in that he plays a tough Pittsburgh defense in Week 13, and it would be wise to leave him on the bench once again.

RB Marshawn Lynch, SEA (@ CHI) – Lynch had four straight 100-yard games before being held to 46 yards on 19 carries last week against the Dolphins. Lynch will have another rough game against an elite Chicago defense, so do not expect much more than 60 rushing yards.

WR Greg Jennings, GB (vs. MIN) – Jennings will most likely return this weekend, but it is better to wait one more week before starting him.

TE Heath Miller, PIT (@ BAL) – The Steelers are down to their third-string quarterback, Charlie Batch, so do not expect many fantasy points from any Pittsburgh players this weekend.

It’s that time of month to take the pulse of the Jaguars fanbase. Is the front office doing a good job? Do you trust the people in charge of steering the ship? Whether it’s you, me, or the average Joe a football team is only as good as they are at appealing to fans.

Last month:

98% of those polled approved of Head Coach Mike Mularkey

92% of those polled approved of Offensive Coordinator Bob Bratkowski

97% of those polled approved of Defensive Coordinator Mel Tucker

86% of those polled approved of General Manager Gene Smith

Now we have some football to base our approval off of. Blaine Gabbert looked sharp in his first drive. Mularkey is bringing down the hammer on those who talk about injuries. Bratkowski’s offense topped the Giants 32-21. Tucker’s defense may not be as deep as we thought, but they stopped “Elite” Elit Manning on a drive. Do we approve of what the front office is doing? Hey, they finally got Justin Blackmon back on the field….but was it at the expense of ignoring O-line depth?

Let’s get to the polls!

Editor’s Note: Being a part of the Fansided Network, we have the opportunity to interact with the other NFL sites that can give us insight into their teams. Before each game we will be providing you with a quick questionnaire that the opposition’s site editor has provided us.

This week we interviewed Joe Tufaro the editor at GmenHQ. I’m not certain if anybody could be more confident about their team:

1. This is the first game since The Super Bowl, will the Giants be out to prove something? Not much to prove here. First pre-season game after winning the Super Bowl is not where this team will look to prove anything, if they have anything to prove. These aren’t the Jets, we go about our business quietly and professionally.2. How do you think the Giants’ draft class do in their first NFL action?

I think you will see some good things for Rueben Randle and David Wilson. They will probably play the second quarter after the starters leave. Also look for guys like Prince Amukamara, and Marvin Austin to step in and show some fight.

3. The Giants don’t tackle in camp, how hungry is the D-line? How many sacks will they have on Gabbert?

This D-line is so deep that you will see the pressure come from the first unit, as well as the second and third, but they won’t show anything exotic, just straight up 4 on 4 for most of the game. They might register a sack or two on Gabbert, but that depends on your system more than ours at this point.

4. How will Elite Eli do against one of the better defenses from last year?

This is a scripted game plan that is designed to let the Giants practice their bread and butter plays. You will see plenty of running behind our new O-Line and new Tight End, as well as some throws to guys out of the backfield. I would suspect you might see less of Victor Cruz than you might think also.

5. The Giants are really deep, any second or third stringers who will be out to make a point against the Jags?

The Giants have a very deep linebacking corps, a very talented receiving corps, and a bunch of running backs and return guys. They will all look to put their stuff on film for the Giants coaches and other teams. Look for Spencer Paysinger, Jerrell Jernigan, and Ramses Barden to try and make an impact if possible.

Big thanks to Joe for his time, looking forward to the game tonight!
