The Jacksonville Jaguars have acquired a lot of talent in recent years from other teams, and two of their acquisitions made the CBS Sports Top 100.

The offseason lends itself to plenty of high-level opinion pieces in the NFL media landscape, and one topic we can always count on is the discussion of the best players in the league.

The NFL Network media conglomerate releases their own Top 100 list based on the votes of actual players, so the results are usually headscratching.

One analyst who releases a list based solely on his opinion is Pete Prisco of CBS Sports.

In his 2017 Top 100, he has two Jaguars on the list – both are defensive lineman and both are recent free agent additions.

"62. Calais CampbellJACKSONVILLE DTHe had eight sacks and was again a force against the run for the Arizona Cardinals last season. He signed with the Jaguars as a free agent this spring and will be a big part of their defense in 2017.89. Malik JacksonJACKSONVILLE DTHe signed a big deal as a free agent with the Jaguars last season and played to that deal. He didn’t get a lot of sacks, but he was a force on their defense."

Both of these inclusions make sense and I don’t have a problem with where they are ranked. Campbell has consistently been one of the most disruptive defensive lineman in the NFL over his career and Malik Jackson showed he was worth every penny last year. They are on the list and shouldn’t be higher until they are part of a winning Jacksonville squad.

One player I’m somewhat surprised didn’t make it is Jalen Ramsey. While he had a few struggles here and there as a rookie, he’s one of a handful of cornerbacks in the league who can take on the opposing team’s number one receiver every week.

We say this every year, but hopefully there will be more Jaguars on lists like this in 12 months.
