Jaguars Fantasy Football Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em: Week 11

The Jaguars return home to the friendly confines of Ever Bank Field for the first time in nearly a month to take on the 2-7 Titans. There are some highly favorable matchups for the Jaguars in this one.

Start ‘Em:

Blake Bortles — Bortles remains a top 10 fantasy QB this season despite throwing for under 200 yards in 2 of his last 3 starts. Fortunately for fantasy owners he just keeps throwing TD’s. He returns home to Jacksonville where he will face a Titans’ defense that is ranked 25th against opposing QB’s this year, allowing nearly 19 PPG on the road to opposing QB’s in ESPN Standard Leagues.  Combine Bortles’ consistent fantasy numbers and his matchup and you have a must start this week in redraft leagues. In DFS he is still cheaper than other QB’s with similar numbers to him and is a great value play this week.

Allen Robinson — Robinson is having one of the best statistical seasons in Jaguars’ history and don’t look for him to let up any time soon. Robinson is 6th in fantasy points amongst WR’s in ESPN Standard Leagues, as he has been able to rack up a ton of yards and TD’s this season. The Titans are in the middle of the pack, ranked 15th against opposing WR’s, but Robinson is a must start regardless of the matchup at this point. Robinson’s price in DFS has steadily increased over the course of the season, so he is not a true value play this week, but he is primed to have a big performance and could help you win in DFS this week.

Allen Hurns — Battling through several nagging injuries this season, Hurns has shown true grit, scoring a TD in seven straight games. He will look to continue that streak this Thursday against the Titans. If Hurns is on your team he is a must start as he has the 7th most points of any WR in ESPN Standard Leagues. In DFS he is still much cheaper than his production would indicate and is a fantastic value play.

T.J. Yeldon — Yeldon is averaging nearly 12 PPG in ESPN Standard Leagues since Week 4 of the regular season and could be a nice RB 2 or Flex play this week as the Titans have given up just under 12 PPG to opposing RB’s over the last 5 weeks. In DFS Yeldon is very cheap and could be a nice buy low addition to your team this week.

Feeling Lucky?

Jaguars D/ST — The Titans’ offense is giving up the most points to opposing D/ST in ESPN Standard Leagues this season and the Jaguars have forced 8 turnovers in the past 3 weeks. If you’re in a pinch in your redraft league or are looking for a cheap D/ST in DFS, the Jaguars D/ST is a viable option.

Sit ‘Em:

Julius Thomas — Thomas simply hasn’t found his groove yet in Jacksonville. He doesn’t seem to be creating a lot of separation and when he does Bortles hasn’t been finding him. Even against the Titans who are giving up a ton of fantasy points to TE’s this year we don’t feel comfortable starting Thomas. Look for another option at TE, if at all possible.

Jason Myers — Myers has made at least 3 FG’s in the Jags’ last 2 match ups, but he has been wildly inconsistent this year and is due for a bad outing. Couple that with the fact that the Titans are the best team against opposing kickers this year and you have a highly unfavorable matchup for Myers this week.
