Good morning everyone, Dr. Luke* here with your Pregame Prescription for Week 12’s Jacksonville Jaguars vs Indianapolis Colts game.

We’ll evaluate the strongest medicine I can prescribe for the Jacksonville Jaguars as they hope to even the 2014 series against the Indianapolis Colts.

Today I prescribe

a healthy dose of running back Denard Robinson, twenty five times taken on Sunday

.

In the first matchup of Jacksonville Jaguars vs Indianapolis Colts Denard Robinson had not yet come into his own. Struggles on offense under quarterback Chad Henne coupled with a defense that had more holes than swiss cheese in week three made the game a tough one to stomach. The offense struggles to move the ball, with its longest drive ending on a fumble in six plays.

Then-starting running back Toby Gerhart managed just 32 yards on nine carries in that game. Robinson began getting looks with eight carries for 32 yards.

With Robinson’s dominant running over the past three weeks, the Jaguars should turn to the second year offensive weapon more than 20 times to provide much needed balance that unhinged the offense in week three. Robinson has proven he can move the offense better than any other running back and safer than quarterback Blake Bortles. The Jaguars should funnel their offensive attack through him.

Robinson will also eat up more clock for the Jags. They finished week three with just under 23 minutes of possession, allowing Andrew Luck and company to control the pace of the game. Robinson will help equalize the time of possession battle.

The Jaguars’ lone win (week seven against the Cleveland Browns) has come with Robinson getting more than 20 rushing attempts. His chances with the ball have declined since then and it’s time for the Jaguars to return to that formula for success. Robinson is due for another breakout game. He will be a much needed shot in the arm for the Jaguars.
