Titans Fantasy Defense/Special Teams Most Added for Week 6 Against Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars defense held the Pittsburgh Steelers to just 10 points on offense in week five, but they didn’t show enough to stop fantasy football owners from adding the Tennessee Titans fantasy defense/special teams to their lineups.

Per ESPN, the Tennessee Titans defense is easily the most picked up of the week, heading into their game against the Jaguars. This is likely a hangover from the atrocious game the Jaguars’ offensive line had against the Washington Redskins in week two. You remember, it’s the one where Chad Henne went down 10 times. Since then, things have really looked up for the Jaguars on offense. Chad Henne is benched and Blake Bortles is looking like a major upgrade as the starter. The wide receivers are responding positively to their new, young quarterback. Most importantly, the offensive line is playing much, much better. 23rd overall (per Pro Football Focus) is nothing to scoff at, but that offensive line has been shifting and are now in a much better spot than that 23rd overall ranking indicates.

Don’t expect the Titans to enjoy the same sort of success as the Redskins. For those of you who are Tennessee Titans Fantasy fanatics, I understand. For those of you are simply following the trend that apparently everyone else is doing (seriously, the Titans are seeing a 22% increase, compared to the second most added Lions D/ST at 14%).

The Jags are still a young offense who will make mistakes, but aside from maybe a pick or two, don’t expect the Titans to be fulfilling the dreams of so many fantasy football owners this weekend. Don’t follow the trend, pick up another defense if you’re in need.  There’s still time to make changes before things are set for the week!
