After 19-seasons as the Radio Announcer of the Jaguars, Brian Sexton is leaving the radio booth. 1010-XL’s Frank Frangie will take his place. Brent Martineau reports that Sexton will still remain on the radio broadcast as the Senior Correspondent. Rick Ballou , also from 1010-XL is joining the team as a sideline reporter. Jeff Lageman and Tony Boselli are going to stay in the radio booth as color analysts.
The move isn’t surprising, given the newest media deals with 1010-XL and WJXT. Since buying the Jaguars, Shad Khan has been slowing tailoring the team to his style and liking. Sexton has called every single Jacksonville Jaguar Game since 1996. He’s also one of the last remaining people that have been around the Jaguars since their inception. Frangie is by far the most experienced radio personality at 1010-XL, so it’s no surprise he was given the nod.
The Jags are changing broadcast team. Brian Sexton will not call games. He called every game. Frank Frangie will be new voice.

As someone who listened to the Jaguars on the radio more than once, I Imagine it’s going to be weird not to hear Brian Sexton. I’m sure we’ve all got a radio moment that comes to mind, so what will you remember about Brian Sexton? What do you think about Frank Frangie taking over?
