In quite possibly the most hilarious move of the offseason, the Jacksonville Jaguars have reportedly traded Blaine Gabbert to the San Francisco 49ers and received compensation.

Jaguars trade of Gabbert to SF for 6th round pick is terrific. Got something for a guy they were going to cut.

Not much needs to be said about this move. Blaine Gabbert clearly wasn’t in this team’s plans, and quite frankly he doesn’t seem like a legitimate NFL backup let alone a starting quarterback. It’s dumbfounding that a team actually gave up a draft pick for him.
Without much else to say, here are some of the more telling reactions on Twitter to the news.
@BlaineGabbert I wish you nothing just the best in San Fransisco. You're a great guy and I hope you can prove yourself in San Fransisco!

Top 3 moment of the Gus/Dave/Shad era. Easily.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE CHECK ON SEXTON? IS HE STILL ALIVE AFTER ALL OF THIS? #Jaguars

This is the best #Jaguars conference call of all time … and it hasn't even started yet. Comedy gold amongst media.

We did it everyone. We survived the Blaine Gabbert era. Now let’s see what Chad Henne, Matt Scott, and a rookie QB or two can do.
