The Jacksonville Jaguars made their second “big” acquisition in free agency this offseason by signing offensive lineman Zane Beadles according to a report by Adam Caplan.

The Jaguars have seen a lot of marquee free agents disappear from the market, but snagging a guy like Beadles might be a savvy movie. Since being drafted in 2010, Beadles has transitioned from tackle to guard and could be instant fix for a trouble spot on the Jacksonville offensive line. Beadles had an outstanding 11.2 overall grade in 2012 followed by an overall grade of -2.9 according to Pro Football Focus, so it’ll be interesting to see what kind of play he will bring to the Jaguars. According to Caplan, he might be an ideal fit given his athleticism.
A team to watch for G Zane Beadles: #Jaguars. Fits zone blocking scheme well. Way more athletic than Nwaneri.

There may be several more key acquisitions over the course of the next few days, but it looks like Caldwell is looking to address some of the lower priority positions, where youth isn’t as important, in free agency.
