Brandon LaFell, WR, Carolina Panthers: LaFell could be leaving Carolina after failing to make much of an impact. They want to offer LaFell a team-friendly deal, but the wide receiver may want to test the market. The 6’2 211lbs. wide receiver caught 49 passes for 627 yards and 5 TDs in 2013.  LaFell was drafted with the 78 overall pick in 2010 with the idea that he would be an option in the passing game who could draw attention away from Steve Smith. He would be an immediate upgrade over Mike Brown. He is 27 which isn’t really that young, but isn’t that old either. Carolina runs an offense tailored for Cam Newton, and really LaFell was the third option behind Smith and tight end Greg Olsen. He would be affordable and more productive than the other receivers currently on the roster. Biggest question when facing signing a player such as this is if he is as good as he will get.
