Jaguars Lose Joeckel For The Season

Much like the Jaguars 2013 Season, the second pick in this year’s draft, Luke Joeckel is done for the year. Joeckel suffered a broken right ankle in Sunday’s loss to the St. Louis Rams. Almost comically tragic, only about a week after the Jaguars traded Eugene Monroe to the Ravens a for couple of mid round picks. So, looking at the glass half full, it’s like parking a nice car for the year. We’re avoiding putting any further damage or serious mileage on him, and get to pull him out of the garage next year, refreshed, motivated and ready to go. It’ll be like having the first AND second pick in next year’s draft. The only downfall I see is Joeckel didn’t have a full season to mesh with the O Line before they have a chance to play with a Quarterback. A real Quarterback.
