Wide receiver Justin Blackmon discusses his ban from the first four games

“No, I would say I don’t,” he said, when asked if he thought he had a substance-abuse problem. “Out of this whole thing one of the main things I would say that I had a problem with was just making a poor decision, making a selfish decision at that and not thinking about the long term of it and just thinking about at the time. If you want to ask if I have a problem? I have a problem with making a poor decision.”

Justin Blackmon is confident the four-game suspension will be his last, per Rant Sports

Blackmon did not say anything out of the ordinary, but admitted to having a problem with making poor decisions off of the football field. His four-game suspension is the second off of the field incident since the Jaguars made him a top five draft pick in last April’s draft and the third total incident dating back to his college days at Oklahoma State.

Jaguars owner Shahid Khan speaks at University of Illinois’ Commencement

“Forty-some years ago, some people were concerned that as a foreign student/potential immigrant, I was taking a U.S. citizen’s job at a blacksmith shop. Yes, I did take that job, but in the process, created thousands of jobs right here in America. Imagine if we fixed immigration and how many more millions of jobs will be created?”
