NFL Spin Zone suggests the Jaguars could be a team to land Jamarcus Russell…which sounds absolutely terrible. Blaine Gabbert isn’t that bad.
Other teams like the Jacksonville Jaguars, Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, Tennessee Titans, Carolina Panthers, St. Louis Rams could make this guy a hands on project considering they aren’t really playoff contenders, no offence to the fans who read this.
For now it’s Mike Jenkins’ job to lose as a starting corner now that he’s inked a deal with the rebuilt Raiders. Jenkins was once a first round pick of the Dallas Cowboys but became expendable once Brandon Carr was signed and Morris Claiborne drafted.
Mohamed Massaquoi is a “wily veteran compared to other Jaguars receivers“
The way Mohamed Massaquoi was talking in the Jaguars’ locker room Tuesday afternoon — how he wants to help younger teammates, how he can be a veteran presence in the meeting room, etc. — he came off sounding like a 32-year-old veteran.
Except that he isn’t.
Signed to a two-year, $4.7 million contract on Monday (he agreed to terms last Friday), Massaquoi, 26, has four NFL seasons of experience. But on the Jaguars in general and at the receiver spot in particular, he could be viewed as a wily veteran.
Ex-Jaguar Dawan Landry replaces his brother by signing with the New York Jets
After losing Laron Landry earlier this off-season to the Indianapolis Colts, the Jets have signed his brother, Dawan Landry, as confirmed by the team today.
