Luke Joeckel and Eric Fisher, the top two offensive line prospects are in Jacksonville meeting with the Jacksonville Jaguars, March 3rd.  Ryan O’Halloran has noted that the Jaguars are going through their evaluations and bringing in top prospects including defensive end/outside linebacker Dion Jordan as well.

Fisher and Joeckel have been mocked going in the top five for some time.  Joeckel is expected to go number one overall, but Fisher is an excellent offensive talent in his own right and both players are in the same tier; a step above Lane Johnson, the next best tackle prospect.  Fisher has been mocked to the Jaguars frequently in recent weeks as the best player available to the team at number two overall despite the fact that the Jags have Eugene Monroe, an excellent left tackle, already on the roster.  The move to bring Fisher to Jacksonville confirms the Jaguars’ interest.

I like both Fisher and Joeckel though it seems unlikely the Jags will have a shot at Joeckel since it is expected that the Kansas City Chiefs will land him.  While I would prefer the Jaguars spend their first round pick elsewhere, it is hard to argue against drafting Fisher since his skills and athleticism are very impressive.
