Jaguars.com writer John Oehser ran into team-great running back Fred Taylor while at the combine and threw some questions his way about what he thought of the changes going on in Jacksonville. Taylor responded well and thinks the tam could very well be on the right track. “I’ve always been a guy that thought change, to me, is like a breath of fresh air,” said Taylor. He made a point of showing appreciation for the work put in by the guys before new GM Dave Caldwell and new head coach Gus Bradley.
Taylor is particularly pleased with the work that Caldwell has done in the past. “I think some of [Atlanta's] success should blow this way,” Taylor said when talking about the work that Caldwell had done with the Atlanta Falcons. He trusts that Caldwell and owner Shahid Khan are putting together something special in Jacksonville.
One of the major changes for the Jaguars is the new logo. Taylor touched on it when asked by Oehser, “The new logo is fierce. The eyes, they look a little meaner.” He then went on to say that all of that is nice, but really it comes down to winning games. The Jags need to find more success on the field if they hope to be successful.
Success begins with a good roster, but the support of a franchise-great is a nice benefit as well.
