Jaguars Mock Draft, 1/17/13, Post Gus Bradley

Its official: Gus Bradley is the Jaguars new Head Coach. Bradley, the former defensive coordinator from Seattle, brings with him fire and knowledge that has been lauded by peers and players alike. Under Bradley, the Seahawks mostly ran a 4-3 defense that switched it up depending upon the down and distance situation. With that knowledge, let’s do the 1st Gus Bradley draft!

Here are 3 drafts, 2 nontrade mocks and a trade rendition. I’ll be using Draftcountdown’s updated rankings, CBS Sports rankings and NFL Draft Scout’s rankings.

The mocks do not have FA included. These drafts are created looking at the Jaguars current roster and potential FA losses.

Man, Ansah could be a beast, and I love picking up an athletic tight end like Jordan Reed, but I also really like how that first draft looks. I’m not that far into my draft prep so it’s harder for me to talk about th 5th-6th-7th round guys, but at least early, I would come away pleased.

I’m pretty pleased with the way all of this shakes out for the Jags. I’m holding out on my support for Star until the combine, but the guy could be a major force if the Jags feel like kicking Tyson Alualu onto the edge a bit more, like they did this season.

  • Jason Love

I’m super excited about this draft. If they can manage a trade down, as in if Geno or Joeckel fall to the Jags, then trade with Arizona…. I’d take my trade mock. Logan probably won’t last til 4, but whatever. Brandon Williams, DT would be my replacement. A real fire hydrant.
    Here’s another Mock.

    1.2 DeMontre Moore, DE
    2.1 Jordan Poyer, CB
    3.2 Brandon Williams, DT
    4.1 Kevin Reddick, LB
    5.2 Johnathan Cyprien, S
    6.1 Jasper Collins, WR
    7.2 Lane Taylor, OG
